Why tint your windows

The Florida sun doesn't take days off.

Bare glass lets heat, glare, and UV pour into every room it touches. Here's what film does about it.

99%
UV blocked

The rays that fade your floors, furniture, and art, and age your skin, stop at the glass instead of your living room.

87%
Glare reduced

Watch TV, work at a laptop, or just sit facing your own windows without squinting.

Up to 1/3
Of cooling costs lost to windows

That's roughly what untreated glass costs a home in wasted heating and cooling, per the EPA. Film puts a lid on it.

See the difference

Same room. Way less heat.

Drag the handle. Bare glass on the left, LLumar film on the right.

Sunlit living room with window film
Bare glass LLumar film

The heat and glare you feel through bare glass never make it past the film.

Ceramic, low-e, and near-invisible looks

Film that disappears once it's on the glass.

Exzact installs residential film across Panama City Beach and Panama City, and out along 30A in Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seacrest, WaterSound, Seaside, Grayton Beach, and Santa Rosa Beach, on everything from beach houses on the Gulf to inland brick homes that just bake in the afternoon sun.

What's actually on the glass

Built for how the sun hits a Gulf-front window.

Nano-ceramic
Blocks infrared heat without the metallic look or the radio interference older dyed and metalized film could cause. It also resists fading in the film itself, so it won't turn purple or bubble at the edges the way cheap tint does.
Near-invisible finish
Several LLumar lines run clear to barely-there, so HOA rules on 30A and historic-look homes that don't allow reflective or dark glass still have a real option. From the street, most people can't tell the window is tinted at all.
Low-e boost
On older single-pane glass or a double-pane unit that's underperforming, film adds a layer of solar control your windows never had, without touching the frame or the glazing itself.

How it works

From estimate to done in about a day.

No showroom trip, no ordering replacement windows and waiting weeks on a truck. Here's what actually happens once you call.

01
Free estimate

We measure the glass that actually needs film, walk the house with you in person or on a video call, and price it by the pane, not a guess.

02
Order & schedule

Film is ordered for your exact window sizes and an installer shows up in a marked vehicle at the time you booked, not a four-hour window.

03
Careful install

Glass gets cleaned edge to edge, film is cut and set with a squeegee, and the edges are finished tight to the frame. No mess left in the room.

04
Walkthrough

The installer checks every pane with you before packing up, and your LLumar warranty gets registered to the address the same week.

Why replace when you can film

A fifth of the cost of new windows.

Good windows in bad shape from an energy standpoint don't need replacing, they need film. Professional installation runs about one-fifth what replacement windows cost, and it still lowers the same heating and cooling bills.

What it changes

Comfort you can feel the same day.

Comfort
Fewer hot spots near the glass, and your AC stops fighting the afternoon sun.
Protection
Furniture, floors, art, and skin stop taking the UV hit through the glass.
Resale
Registered to the address, so a future owner keeps the same LLumar warranty coverage.

What it costs

Priced per job, not off a sticker.

Residential film is quoted per job, not off a price list, because the number depends on your glass and your film. What the quote comes down to is a few things.

Number and size of windows
More glass, and bigger panes, means more film and more labor. A few bathroom windows costs far less than a wall of sliders facing the Gulf.
Film type
Standard solar film costs less than low-e or ceramic film, and safety & security film runs its own price because of the extra thickness. We'll walk you through what fits each room.
Access and count
A handful of ground-floor windows installs faster, and cheaper, than a whole house spread across multiple stories.

LLumar backs its film with a manufacturer's warranty across auto, residential, and commercial installs, not just cars, so the film on your home is covered the same way. Read the warranty

Common questions

Home window tinting, straight answers.

Will window film make the inside of my house dark?

Not with what we install most. Solar control film for homes runs clear to lightly tinted, cutting heat and UV without dimming the room the way a heavy tint would. You still see color through the glass, not a grey wash.

How long is home window film warrantied?

LLumar backs its residential film with a written manufacturer's warranty against peeling, bubbling, and discoloration. Exact coverage depends on the film line, and we'll go over the terms with you on the estimate. Read the warranty

Do I need new windows first, or does film go on what I have?

Film goes on the glass you've already got. It's the alternative to replacing windows, not a reason to do it: installation runs about a fifth of what new energy-efficient windows cost, and the glass just needs to be in decent shape, not brand new.

Does film actually help in hurricane season?

Safety and security film holds shattered glass together instead of letting it scatter, which matters in a storm or a break-in. This hurricane and storm film isn't a substitute for approved storm shutters or impact glass where code requires them, but it adds real protection on the windows that have neither.

How long does an install take?

Most homes are done in a day. Bigger jobs, whole-house, a lot of glass, multiple stories, can run into a second day. You'll get a real number on the estimate once we've seen the actual windows.

Can I clean tinted windows the same way as bare glass?

Yes, with a soft cloth or squeegee and a non-abrasive, ammonia-free glass cleaner. Ammonia breaks film down over time, so that's really the only change to your routine.

How much does it cost to tint house windows?

Every home is quoted on its own, in person or from photos, because the number depends on how many windows you're covering, how big they are and which film you pick. The estimate is free, and there is no flat price list to post. Get a free estimate

Is home window tint worth it?

For most Gulf Coast homes, yes. You feel the difference the same day: less heat near the glass, less glare, and floors and furniture that stop fading. It also chips away at the up to a third of cooling costs bare windows waste, so it typically pays for itself over a few years without touching the windows themselves.

Will window film make my house too dark?

No. Ceramic and low-e films cut heat and UV while staying nearly clear, so you keep the view and the daylight and just lose the sun's punch coming through the glass. Heavy, dark tint isn't what we install on most homes.

Does window film reduce my energy bill?

It can. Windows are responsible for up to a third of a home's wasted heating and cooling, and film cuts into that by blocking solar heat before it gets inside. How much you save depends on your home's orientation and how much glass you have, which is something we can talk through on the estimate.

Will it void my window warranty?

Usually not. LLumar film is warranty-safe on most windows, but a handful of manufacturers carry specific film restrictions. We check your window warranty before we install anything, so there are no surprises after the fact.

Is there sales tax on home window film?

No. Florida treats film on a house as an improvement to the property rather than a product sale, so no sales tax is added to your price. The number on your estimate is the number you pay. Automotive tint is different and is taxed at the normal rate.
